Catholic channel and podcast focused on community, eutrapelia, and good cheer. We discuss news and topics but try to do so in a way that leads to hope, not despair. We try to remind ourselves and those who enjoy the channel that being Catholic is a joyful and exciting experience. Above all, we try to bring humor and joy to the craziness of this fallen world.

Just going to leave this here on the irreverence discussion on the last stream. Last week the Psalm was “sung” to the tune of the theme song from “Titanic.” Not a joke. Liturgical wasteland is an understatement.

I get that our bishop is elderly and not in good health (out of respect for him, I’m not going to name him or my diocese, but I’m sure you can find online) and I guess she’s his assistant? But why is she acting like a seminarian? During the anointing of the priest’s hands, she is the one handing the bishop the… don’t know the technical term… ribbon? That goes around the priest’s hands. Why?? Why is This Woman on the altar dressed like a wanna-be priest?? If the bishop needs an assistant, why isn’t it a man, or why is it not rotated with different priests or semanarians or deacons? Meanwhile, the only priest I noticed that wasn’t walking down the aisle smiling and nodding to everyone was the young Trad priest I know, and he was the first priest to ...
